Your team. One workspace.
Privacy
OARBuildings keeps your team’s projects in one shared workspace. This page explains what we store and how you can manage it.
Effective October 26, 2026. OARBuildings is operated by OARBUILT LLC. Contact jtsmith@jakesmith.dev with privacy questions or requests.
Information you provide
- Your account: your email address, display name, verified sign-in identity, sessions, team membership, workspace permissions, and last selected project.
- Project records: projects, task assignments, schedules, costs, purchases, payment-method descriptions, receipts, materials, calculations, models, notes, daily logs, photos, and files that you or your teammates add. Calculation covers can include project and firm addresses, names, and phone numbers. Original uploaded photos may retain embedded metadata, including the location where a photo was taken.
- Support: information you choose to include when you contact us.
How we use it
We use this information to verify sign-ins, control workspace access, save and synchronize your team’s work, provide exports, respond to support requests, and keep the service reliable and secure. We do not sell your personal information or use your project data for advertising.
Who can access it
Approved teammates share the workspace’s projects and files. Workspace owners manage membership and can export workspace data. Your account does not give you access to other organizations’ private work.
We use Neon for the shared PostgreSQL database and managed authentication, and Vercel for hosting and file storage. These services process information needed to operate the app, including sign-in and request information. Workspace uploads use private storage; published app installers use separate public storage. Service providers may process IP addresses, approximate city or country derived from an IP address, device/browser details, requested paths, timestamps, response timings, and errors to deliver and secure the service. These records may be associated with your account or device. Information may be processed in the United States and other locations used by these providers.
On your device
The website and installed apps keep sign-in cookies and local preferences so you can return to work. Calculation editors may keep recovery drafts on the device. Desktop apps can keep diagnostic logs and files you explicitly download or export. Signing out ends the current session; files you exported remain where you saved them.
Camera, photo, and file access is used when you choose to attach or import content. OARBuildings does not require continuous location access, contacts access, or advertising tracking. A clearly labeled sample workspace uses example information and does not expose your team’s projects.
Retention and account deletion
Manage or delete your account from Your account. Deletion removes your authentication account and sessions, personal workspace preferences, and membership. You must verify your identity first. If teammates still use the workspace and you are its last owner, transfer ownership before deleting your account so the team can continue managing its records.
Account deletion does not delete shared business records belonging to your team. Shared projects, photos, receipts, notes, and calculations remain available to approved teammates. The uploader’s account identifier is removed from retained file metadata. Personal information typed into shared records is not automatically located or erased; ask the workspace owner to update those records, or contact us for help.
If you are the only active member, you can instead choose Close workspace and delete my account. This closes access immediately and schedules permanent removal of all workspace records, uploaded files, calculation drafts, and app-managed backups, normally within 48 hours. Temporary personal calculation uploads are also removed after individual account deletion. Saved deletion requests retry automatically if a service is temporarily unavailable; contact support if you need help checking a request. Provider disaster-recovery backups expire according to their retention schedules and are not available through the app.
Operational logs, security records, and backups may remain for their normal retention periods or where needed to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, or protect the service. Copies already exported by you or your teammates are controlled by the person who saved them.
Your choices
You can update or remove content through the workspace features available to your role, ask your workspace owner for an export or access change, and contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information. We may need to verify your identity and clarify which shared business records are involved.
Changes and contact
We will update this page when the service or its data handling changes. The effective date above identifies the current notice. For questions, email jtsmith@jakesmith.dev or visit Support.
